What is Shape Swap?
Shape Swap is a turn-based match-3 puzzle on an 8×8 board of six shapes, where you have 30 moves and no timer to score as many points as you can. A swap that makes no match bounces back without using a move, and every cascade wave raises the multiplier with no cap. Straight lines of 4 and 5 create line blasters and bombs, so the game rewards planning ahead more than speed.

How do you play Shape Swap?
Swap two neighboring shapes to line up 3 or more of the same kind in a row or column. You have 30 moves and no timer, and a swap that makes no match bounces back without using a move. Each cleared tile scores 10 points times the chain wave: x1 for your own match, x2 for the next cascade, and up from there. A straight 4 makes a striped line blaster that clears its row or column when matched; a straight 5 makes a bomb that clears every tile of its shape. Reach 1,500, 3,000 and 5,000 points for 1, 2 and 3 stars.
Tips & strategy
- Look for a straight 5: making a bomb scores 150 points, and it later clears every tile of its shape.
- The stripe shows the direction: a horizontal stripe clears a row, a vertical stripe clears a column.
- Match low on the board: more tiles fall afterwards, giving more chances at x2 and x3 chain waves.
- A line blaster sets off any special in its path, so line it up with a bomb for a much bigger clear.
- Stuck? After 6 seconds two tiles pulse to show a legal swap — the first one found, not always the best.

Shape Swap FAQ
How do you make a bomb in Shape Swap?
Line up 5 or more identical shapes in one straight row or column; L and T shapes do not count. The bomb appears on the tile you moved, keeps that shape and color, and has a dark core with a white star. Creating it adds a 100-point bonus, and when it is later matched or hit by a blast it clears every tile of its shape on the board.
What does a line blaster do in Shape Swap?
A straight match of exactly 4 creates a line blaster with a white stripe and a 40-point bonus. A horizontal match makes one that clears its whole row, a vertical match one that clears its whole column, and the stripe points the same way. It goes off when it is part of a later match or caught in another blast, and it sets off any other special in its path.
How do chain combos score in Shape Swap?
Every cleared tile is worth 10 points times the wave number. Your own match is wave 1 (x1); if falling tiles form new matches, the next wave is x2, then x3, with no upper limit, and CHAIN x2! appears on screen. The 40- and 100-point bonuses for creating specials are added on top without the multiplier, and GREAT! appears after three or more waves in one move.
How many moves do you get in Shape Swap, and is there a timer?
Each round gives you 30 moves and no time limit, so you can think as long as you like. Only swaps that make a match use a move; a swap with no match bounces back for free. A 5 MOVES LEFT! warning appears near the end, and the round finishes once every cascade from your 30th move has been scored.
What score do you need for three stars in Shape Swap?
The target bar at the top has three stars: 1,500 points for one, 3,000 for two and 5,000 for three. The bar is full at 5,000, but your score keeps counting beyond it. You cannot lose a round: it always ends after 30 moves, with confetti if you earned at least one star.
What happens when there are no moves left on the board in Shape Swap?
If no swap can make a match, NO MOVES — SHUFFLE! appears and the board is rearranged automatically. The shuffle is free: it uses no move, keeps your specials and always leaves at least one possible match. If you are only stuck, wait 6 seconds and two tiles will pulse to show a legal swap.
Can you play Shape Swap with a keyboard?
Yes. Move the cursor with the arrow keys or WASD, press Space or Enter to pick up the tile under it, then press an arrow or WASD key to swap that tile in that direction. Pressing Space or Enter again puts the tile back down, and P or Esc pauses. Holding a key does not repeat, so each press moves one cell.
