What is Rocket Roadster?
Rocket Roadster is a 3D racing game in your browser where you drive a rocket-powered supercar from the cockpit and fly it over broken roads to win 12 point-to-point races. Holding the rocket lifts the car to an 8 m cruise height for up to 4.6 seconds per burn, and a straight, soft touchdown scores a PERFECT LANDING that refills energy. Races last about one to two minutes, so it suits quick sessions on a keyboard, gamepad or phone.

How do you play Rocket Roadster?
Reach the finish of each level ahead of your rivals. Hold W to accelerate, S to brake and A/D to steer; Space burns nitro. At a ramp or a broken bridge, hold Shift at 72 km/h or more to fire the rocket: the car flies at 8 m, S climbs, W comes back down and A/D steer. Release over the road to land; a straight, level touchdown is a PERFECT LANDING. Checkpoints, sky rings, energy crystals and perfect landings refill rocket energy. Fall off and you restart at the last checkpoint; run out of time and the race ends.
Tips & strategy
- Fire the rocket right at the lip of a ramp: the ramp's own lift is free height, so the burn lasts longer over the gap.
- Let go of the rocket only when the road is under you and keep the steering straight: a PERFECT LANDING refills 25 energy.
- Keep 60 or more energy before a gap with no ramp: crossing 150 m takes about 2.3 seconds of burn.
- Chain stunts less than 4 seconds apart to push the combo to ×5; a crash or a hard landing drops it back to ×1.
- Fly through sky rings: each is worth 250 points and +15 energy, often enough for the next jump.
- On the XR-1, upgrade Rocket thrusters first: every level adds lift and cuts the energy used while flying.

| Steer (on the road and in the air) | A / D or ← / → |
| Nitro boost | Space |
| Rocket flight (hold) | Shift |
| Slide sideways while flying | Q / E |
| Pause menu / switch camera | Esc or P / C |
| Menus, rotate the car in the garage | Click / drag |
| Steer on a touch screen | ◀ ▶ buttons, left |

Rocket Roadster FAQ
How does rocket flight work in Rocket Roadster?
Hold Shift, or the ROCKET button, at 72 km/h or more with at least 18 energy. Underbody thrusters lift the car to an 8 m cruise height; S climbs up to 42 m and W eases it back down. One burn lasts at most 4.6 seconds and the XR-1 uses about 25 energy per second, so release over the road to land.
How do you get a PERFECT LANDING in Rocket Roadster?
Touch down pointing along the road, level, and falling slower than 23 m/s. The simplest way is to release the rocket once the road is under the car and keep the steering centred. A perfect landing scores 500 points times your combo, refills 25 rocket energy and adds a small speed boost, while a hard landing costs 22% of your speed.
How do you refill rocket energy?
Energy comes back from checkpoints (+20), sky rings (+15), perfect landings (+25, good ones +12), blue energy crystals on the road (+35), near misses (+5) and overtakes (+6). Driving on the road also trickles in 1.2 energy per second, and a recovery after a fall restores at least 55.
What happens when you fall off the track?
You only lose time. About a second after the car drops below the road, it is placed back at the last checkpoint you passed at 108 km/h with at least 55 rocket energy, and the race clock keeps running. Your combo resets, and every level has a time limit of 150 to 240 seconds before the race ends unfinished.
How are stars and R-coins earned in Rocket Roadster?
Each level has three star goals. The first is the level's objective, such as a top-3 finish, 8 sky rings or 4 perfect landings, and it unlocks the next level; the others are a target time and a harder goal like winning. Races pay R-coins for your finishing place, up to 400 for stunts, 5 per road coin and a first-clear bonus.
Which car should you buy, and do upgrades matter?
They do, because every stat point changes the car's physics. The free XR-1 tops out near 248 km/h, while the 10,500 R Eclipse reaches about 286 km/h before nitro. Each car has five upgrades with five levels each; Rocket thrusters, for example, add lift and cut energy use, which helps on long gaps without a ramp.
How do combos work in Rocket Roadster?
Stunts done less than 4 seconds apart raise the multiplier, up to ×5. A perfect landing is worth 500 points, a rocket jump over a gap 300 plus 60 per second in the air, a sky ring 250, an overtake 150 and a near miss 100. A crash, a hard landing or a fall drops the combo back to ×1.
Do the AI rivals cheat with their rockets?
No. Rivals drive the same cars with the same speed, grip and rocket-energy limits as you, and they plan each jump from their real speed. Easy, Normal and Hard change their driving skill and car stats; only Easy adds a gentle catch-up of a few percent, and fallen rivals are recovered at checkpoints just like you.
