QUICK ANSWER

What is Shape Pop?

Shape Pop is a 30-second arcade reflex game where you tap or click shapes before they shrink and jump away. Its twist is speed scoring: a pop within 0.45 seconds is worth 15 instead of 10, 10 pops in a row triple every point, and black spiky bombs cost 30. With one-tap controls and half-minute rounds, it plays the same on a phone as with a mouse and suits quick breaks and high-score chasing.

How do you play Shape Pop?

Shapes pop up all over the stage for 30 seconds. Tap or click each one before it shrinks and jumps away: a pop is worth 10 points, or 15 if you hit the shape within 0.45 seconds of it appearing. Pop 5 targets in a row for a x2 combo and 10 in a row for x3. Tapping empty space, hitting a bomb or letting a shape escape resets the combo. Golden stars give 50 points times your combo plus 2 extra seconds; black spiky bombs cost 30 points. Shapes come faster and bombs get more common as time runs out.

Tips & strategy

  1. A shape that starts shrinking has about a third of a second left — pop it first to keep your combo.
  2. Never tap blindly: one miss on empty space drops you from x3 straight back to x1.
  3. A golden star popped at x3 is worth 150 points instead of 50, so build your combo first.
  4. Leave bombs alone: they vanish on their own, and a bomb that escapes costs no points or combo.
  5. The clock never goes above 30 seconds, so golden stars buy the most time late in the round.

Shape Pop FAQ

How do you get a x3 combo in Shape Pop?

Pop 10 targets in a row without breaking the chain. From the 5th pop in a row your points are doubled, and from the 10th they are tripled. Tapping empty space, popping a black bomb or letting a shape jump away resets the combo to x1, while golden stars count toward the chain.

What happens if you pop a bomb in Shape Pop?

A black spiky bomb takes away 30 points and resets your combo, although your score never drops below 0. Bombs get more common as the round goes on, rising from about 6% to 18% of new targets. They stay on screen longer than shapes, and a bomb that disappears on its own costs nothing, so the safest move is to leave it.

What do golden stars do in Shape Pop?

A golden star is worth 50 points multiplied by your current combo, so up to 150 at x3, and it adds 2 seconds to the clock. The timer can never go above 30 seconds, so a star gives the most extra time late in the round. Stars also keep your combo going, and letting one escape does not break it.

What earns the most points in Shape Pop?

A golden star popped at a x3 combo is the biggest single pop: 150 points plus 2 seconds. For regular shapes, a quick pop (within 0.45 seconds) at x3 is worth 45, compared with 10 for a slow pop at x1. High scores therefore come from keeping a 10-pop streak alive and hitting shapes the moment they appear.

How long is a round of Shape Pop?

A round lasts 30 seconds. A time bar and a seconds counter show what is left, and HURRY! flashes when 5 seconds remain. Each golden star adds 2 seconds, but the clock never goes above 30, so a lucky round runs only a few seconds longer. When time is up the round ends and your score is final.

How long do shapes stay on screen in Shape Pop?

At the start of a round a shape stays for 1.1 to 2 seconds; near the end that drops to 0.65 to 1.3 seconds. Each shape shrinks during its last 0.35 seconds and then jumps away, which resets your combo. Up to 3 targets are on screen at first, rising to 6 by the end, and new ones appear twice as often.
