What is Gleam Garage?
Gleam Garage is a 3D car wash game for the browser in which you drag a brush, a foam cannon, a hose, a towel and a polisher over dirty cars until they gleam. Each car goes through its steps in order, and a step is done when 97% of the car is clean; bird droppings, salt crust, bugs, tar and tree sap need about three times more scrubbing than mud. With 24 cars in three wash bays, no way to fail and a star time to beat on every car, it suits kids and anyone who enjoys a calm, satisfying clean-up.

How do you play Gleam Garage?
Hold and drag over the car to use the tool shown in the bar at the bottom. The brush scrubs off mud and dust, the foam cannon covers the car in suds, the hose rinses foam and sand away, the towel wipes off water drops and the polisher brings back the shine of dull paint. Each step ends at 97% and the next tool takes over; the icons at the top show the steps that are left. Finish every step on every side to clean the car and open the next one. You cannot fail: a faster wash simply earns more stars.
Tips & strategy
- Sweep in rows that overlap a little, like mowing a lawn: one tidy pass beats circling the same spot.
- Keep the brush, towel and polisher moving: held still they only work slowly, while a steady back-and-forth stroke is several times faster.
- Give droppings, salt crust, bugs, tar and sap three passes: they need about three times more scrubbing than mud.
- The foam cannon and the hose work while you hold still, so park them on a stubborn corner instead of rushing past it.
- Stuck near the end of a step? After a few seconds without progress, the spots that are left start to glow.
- The clock only starts with your first stroke, so read the card and plan your first sweep before you touch the car.

Gleam Garage FAQ
How fast must you wash a car for three stars in Gleam Garage?
Finish the whole wash before the ★★★ time shown under the clock. Every car has its own times, worked out from a tidy wash of that car, and the results card shows both the three-star and the two-star limit. Your best stars and best time for every car are saved.
What removes bird droppings and tar in Gleam Garage?
The scrub brush. Bird droppings, salt crust, bugs, tar and tree sap all come off with it, but each spot needs about three times more scrubbing than mud, so go over it several times. Droppings appear from car 5, salt from car 9, bugs and tar from car 17 and sap from car 18.
Why do some cars in Gleam Garage start with a rinse?
Cars from the Seaside Suds bay (cars 9 and 11 to 16) arrive covered in beach sand, so their wash starts with a pre-rinse. Spray the sand off with the hose; that first step only ends when the sand is gone, and then the brush takes over for the mud and salt.
When do you need the towel in Gleam Garage?
From car 10 on, rinsing leaves water drops on the paint, and a drying step comes right after the rinse. Rub the towel over every drop until the bar is full; only then does the polisher come out for the last step.
Can you fail a car in Gleam Garage?
No. A wash always ends with a clean car; taking longer only means fewer stars. You can restart a car with R or the restart button at any time, and the next car opens as soon as you finish the current one.
How do two-sided cars work in Gleam Garage?
Cars 21 to 24 need both sides washed. When every step is done on the first side, the turntable turns the car around and the steps start again on the other side. The clock stops while the car turns, and the star times count both sides.
Do you have to clean every last speck in Gleam Garage?
No. A step is done once 97% of its area is clean, and the last specks are wiped away by themselves. If you stall before that, after a few seconds without progress the spots that are left start to glow so you can find them.
