What is Gobble Trail?
Gobble Trail is a 3D Halloween snake game for the browser in which a pumpkin snake runs down a winding night road on its own while you steer it left and right to eat glowing stones and reach the gate. Every 5 stones add a segment and every bump bites 2 off, so the longest tail belongs to the cleanest run. Each of the 20 levels lasts about 50 to 74 seconds and needs only a drag or two arrow keys, which suits a short break on a phone or a laptop.

How do you play Gobble Trail?
The snake moves forward on its own: drag left or right anywhere on the screen, or hold ←/→ or A/D, to change its place on the road. Each glow stone is worth 10 points and every 5 add a segment; candy eaten less than 2 seconds apart builds a combo up to ×5, and pumpkins add 1 segment (Golden Pumpkins 3). You have 3 hearts: hitting spikes, trees, ghosts or tombstones, dropping through a cracked tile or steering off a rail-less bridge costs a heart and 2 segments. Reach the gate to clear the level; the road gets faster, from 7.6 to 10.6 m/s.
Tips & strategy
- Save Pumpkin Boosts for long rows of glow stones: for 4 seconds each stone scores 20 instead of 10, and you can carry up to 3 charges.
- Eat a candy arc in one sweep: the combo grows only if the next candy comes within 2 seconds, so the fifth in a row is worth 50.
- On floating bridges stay near the middle and make small moves: there are no curbs and the deck is only 3 m wide.
- Cracked tiles drop when you are 16 m away, so switch to another strip as soon as you spot the cracks, not when the hole opens.
- Rolling pumpkins start rolling at you from 42 m away; pick the strip they leave open early and stay in it.
- With a Ghost Shield on, steer straight through tombstones and trees to reach the stones behind them, but keep dodging spider webs and holes.

Gobble Trail FAQ
How do you make the pumpkin snake longer in Gobble Trail?
Eat glow stones: every 5 stones add one segment to the tail. A pumpkin adds 1 segment at once and a Golden Pumpkin adds 3. The tail only shrinks when you get hurt, by 2 segments per hit or fall, and it never drops below 3 segments.
What does the Pumpkin Boost do in Gobble Trail?
It makes the snake 1.45 times faster for 4 seconds, and every glow stone eaten meanwhile scores 20 points instead of 10. Boosts are picked up on the road from level 2 and stored, up to 3 at a time; fire one with Space or the round Boost button at the bottom right.
What can the Ghost Shield pass through in Gobble Trail?
For 5 seconds the snake slips straight through tombstones, spikes, spooky trees, ghosts, rolling pumpkins and magic fire without losing a heart. It does not help against spider webs, cracked tiles that drop away or falling off a floating bridge, so keep steering around those.
How do you earn three stars on a level of Gobble Trail?
Reaching the gate gives one star, arriving with a tail at least as long as the level's length goal gives two, and also reaching its score goal gives three. Level 1 asks for 30 segments and 2,800 points; every level's goals are shown on the level map and the pause screen.
What happens when you fall off a bridge or into a cracked tile in Gobble Trail?
A fall counts like a hit: one heart and 2 tail segments are gone, then the snake is set back on a solid part of the road with 1.5 seconds of blinking protection. Floating bridges have no curbs and are only 3 m wide, so small steering moves are safer there.
How does the candy combo work in Gobble Trail?
Each candy is worth 10 points times the combo. Eating the next candy within 2 seconds raises the combo by one, up to ×5, so a long candy arc is worth more the further along it you get. A hit or a sticky spider web sends the combo back to the start.
What do the magic portals do in Gobble Trail?
Portals appear in the Witch Castle from level 17. Touching one jumps the snake further up the road and drops it in a safe spot, often next to a shower of candy. You skip the glow stones in between, which is why level 17 has a shorter length goal of 28 segments.
