QUICK ANSWER

What is Cabby Crossing?

Cabby Crossing is a 3D taxi game for the browser in which your cab follows the road by itself and you decide when to go: hold to drive, let go to brake. Across 24 shifts in Downtown, the Harbor and Night City you stop in yellow kerb boxes to pick passengers up and in green ones to drop them off, timing the gaps between cars, buses, 46 m freight trains, 24 m trams and duck families. With one button and shifts of about 20 seconds to a minute and a half, it suits kids and quick breaks on a phone.

How do you play Cabby Crossing?

Your taxi follows its route on its own; you only work the pedal. Hold Space, ↑ or W, or press anywhere on the screen, to drive, and let go to brake. Stop inside a yellow box to pick a passenger up and inside the green box at their destination to drop them off; rolling past a box loses that fare. At every crossing wait for a gap: touching a car, bus, lorry, tram, train or duck family ends the shift. The fuel gauge drops even while you wait, so fill up at blue pumps, then reach the taxi stand.

Tips & strategy

  1. At full speed let go about 10 m before a yellow or green box (16 m in the rain) so the cab stops inside it.
  2. Red arrows at the screen edge point at vehicles that will reach your lane within about 2.5 seconds: wait for them.
  3. Buses and lorries are about twice as long as a car; go after the whole group has passed, not between vehicles.
  4. Barriers drop about 4 seconds before a train or tram arrives; stay stopped until they lift again.
  5. A rider's icon counts down the tip time: drop them off before it hits zero for +50% coins and the third star.
  6. On levels with a pump, fill up when the gauge is under half: the tank drains about 1% a second even while idling.

Cabby Crossing FAQ

Do you steer the taxi in Cabby Crossing?

No. The cab follows the road and slows for bends on its own; your only control is the pedal. Hold Space, ↑, W or a finger on the screen to drive, and let go to brake to a stop.

How do you pick up a passenger in Cabby Crossing?

Come to a complete stop with the cab inside the yellow box next to the waving passenger. They climb in in under a second, and a green box marks where they want to go. Rolling through the box without stopping misses the passenger and the fare.

How do tips and stars work in Cabby Crossing?

Each fare pays 12 to 26 coins, and dropping a rider off before the timer on their icon runs out adds a 50% tip. Reaching the taxi stand earns one star, delivering every passenger two, and earning every tip three.

What happens when the taxi touches another vehicle in Cabby Crossing?

The shift ends at once with a Crash screen that names what hit you, and you can retry the level straight away. There are no lives or damage: every crossing is about waiting for a big enough gap. Cars, vans, buses, lorries, sports cars, trams, freight trains and even duck families all count.

How much room does the taxi need to stop in Cabby Crossing?

From its cruise speed of about 47 km/h the cab needs roughly 10 metres to stop on a dry road. In the rain of Night City that grows to about 16 metres, so let go earlier before boxes and crossings.

What does the fuel gauge do in Cabby Crossing?

The tank drains about 1% per second while idling and a little faster at speed, so waiting forever is not an option. Six levels have a blue pump: stop in its box to fill up to 100%. If the tank runs dry, the shift ends.

What can you buy with coins in Cabby Crossing?

Coins from fares and tips buy five more cabs in the garage, from the Checker for 150 coins to the Cherry for 1,000. They only change the look; every cab drives exactly the same.

How do you cross the railway in Cabby Crossing?

Red lights flash and the barriers come down about 4 seconds before a 46-metre freight train or a 24-metre tram crosses. Stop before the tracks and go only when the barriers rise again. Trains never stop for the taxi.
