What is Rumble Ridge?
Rumble Ridge is a side-view tank battle game in the browser where you drive a small tank over hills, knock out every enemy tank and then reach the flag. The twist is the gun: it is fixed 9° above the hull, so every slope changes your aim, and each enemy barrel glows yellow for 0.6 seconds before it fires so you can roll out of the way. Battles take from about 30 seconds to two minutes, and each of the 4 regions ends with a boss.

How do you play Rumble Ridge?
Drive with ← → or A D and fire with Space, J or a click. Your gun points 9° above the hull, so climb a slope to shoot higher and roll downhill to shoot lower; the dots in front of the barrel show where the shell goes. Enemies wake when you come within 24 m. A yellow glow on an enemy barrel means a shot in 0.6 s, and a red ring marks where a mortar shell will land. Green-cross crates repair 30 armour. When every enemy tank is down, drive to the flag. At 0 armour the battle starts over.
Tips & strategy
- When an enemy sits below you, fire from the downhill slope: the 9° gun then points almost level and the shell flies flat into its hull.
- Move the moment an enemy barrel glows: the aim is already locked, so rolling a few metres forward or back makes the shell miss.
- Hit the red barrel beside an enemy instead of the tank: the 3.2 m blast deals up to 34 damage, more than your 26-damage direct hit.
- On Frost Pass ice, let go of the drive early: grip drops to a fifth, so a tank at full speed keeps sliding after you release.
- Mines blink for 0.55 s before they blow: cross at full speed, or shell one from range so its 2.6 m blast goes off away from you.
- For the time star, go to the enemies: most stay asleep until you are within 24 m, so drive up and fire on the move.

Rumble Ridge FAQ
How do you aim in Rumble Ridge?
By driving. The gun is fixed 9° above the hull, so the shot angle follows the ground under your tracks: drive up a slope to shoot higher, roll downhill to shoot lower. Ten dots in front of the barrel trace the first 0.45 seconds of the next shell, bright when it is loaded.
How do you dodge enemy shots in Rumble Ridge?
Watch the barrels. An enemy barrel glows yellow for 0.6 seconds before it fires, and its aim locks the moment the glow starts, so driving forward or back a few metres makes the shell miss. Mortars and bosses with high shells glow for 1.1 seconds and paint a red ring where the shell will land.
What do red barrels and mines do in Rumble Ridge?
Both explode and hurt every tank nearby, yours included. A red barrel blows when a shell hits it, with a 3.2 m blast of up to 34 damage. Mines in Ember Ridge start blinking when a tank rolls within 1.6 m and go off 0.55 seconds later; a shell blast nearby sets them off too.
How do you get three stars in a Rumble Ridge battle?
Win the battle, finish with at least 50% armour, and reach the flag within the par time shown next to the timer. Par runs from 30 seconds on short early battles to 115 seconds on the longest Frost Pass fight. Stars are kept per battle, so any battle can be replayed for the ones you missed.
Who are the bosses in Rumble Ridge?
Each region ends with one. Thornback (battle 5) has 320 armour and fires 2 low shots; Dune King (battle 10) has 360 and lobs 3 high shells; Glacier Jaw (battle 15) has 420 and fans out 3 low shots; Magma Baron (battle 20) has 480 and switches between low shots and high shells.
What happens if your tank flips over in Rumble Ridge?
It rights itself. A tank lying more than 75° off the slope for 1.2 seconds hops back onto its tracks without any button press. Blasts and steep landings can still tip you over, though, so give red barrels some room before you shoot them.
Which enemy tanks are in Rumble Ridge?
Four kinds plus the bosses. Scouts have 40 armour and fire weak 9-damage shots; brawlers have 78 and hit for 13; mortars have 56, never move and lob 16-damage shells from raised ledges; heavies have 150 armour and hit for 20. A battle fields between 2 and 7 of them.
