What is Boo Lantern Run 3D?
Boo Lantern Run 3D is a Halloween lane-runner game for the browser in which you guide a pumpkin hero down three lanes, collecting candy and dodging crates, rolling pumpkins and spike orbs to reach a glowing portal. Its signature move, Ghost Shift, lets you pass through solid barriers for 1.6 seconds, but a ghost cannot pick up candy or float over a gap, and it needs 5 seconds to recharge. The 12 levels across a haunted forest, a pumpkin village and a ghost castle take about a minute each, so they suit a short break on a phone or a keyboard.

How do you play Boo Lantern Run 3D?
The hero runs forward on its own; you only steer. Press A/D or the arrow keys, or swipe left or right, to move one lane. Press Space, W or ↑, swipe up or tap Jump to leap: a jump lasts 0.82 s, enough to clear a 3.2 m gap, a log or a low bar. Press G or Shift, or tap Ghost, to pass through crates, spike orbs and cyan ghost gates for 1.6 s. Each bump costs one of 3 hearts, and three bumps or one fall into a gap ends the run. At the portal you score 1 point per metre, 10 per candy, 100 per heart left and a 500 finish bonus.
Tips & strategy
- Tap Ghost about 0.5 s before a cyan gate row across all lanes; even if you are late, the whole row costs just one heart.
- Ghost Shift recharges for 5 s after it ends, so dodge a lone crate by changing lanes and save the shift for rows you can't dodge.
- Shift right before a barrier, not early: candy you cross during the 1.6 s stays behind, and three stars need 85% of it.
- Press Jump up to 0.15 s before landing and the next jump fires the instant you touch down, handy when a gap follows a log.
- After a bump you blink for 1.2 s and nothing can hurt you, so use that moment to slide into the clearest lane.

Boo Lantern Run 3D FAQ
Can Ghost Shift carry you over a gap in Boo Lantern Run 3D?
No. Ghost Shift only lets you pass through solid barriers such as crates, spike orbs and cyan ghost gates for 1.6 seconds. A hole in the road still swallows a ghost, so jump it, since a 0.82-second jump clears the 3.2 m gap, or move to a lane that still has ground.
Why doesn't candy count while you're a ghost in Boo Lantern Run 3D?
Ghost form cannot collect candy. For the 1.6 seconds of Ghost Shift you glide through sweets just as you glide through barriers, and they stay on the road behind you. Trigger it right before the barrier instead of early to keep the candy you need for two or three stars.
How much candy do you need for three stars in Boo Lantern Run 3D?
Reach the portal, collect at least 85% of the level's candy and take no more than one bump. Finishing alone earns one star and 60% of the candy earns two. The first level has 50 candies, so three stars there need 43 of them with at most one heart lost.
How do you unlock the Witch Cat and the Little Ghost in Boo Lantern Run 3D?
Collect stars. The best result on each level counts, and the total unlocks the Witch Cat at 12 stars and the Little Ghost at 25, out of 36 possible. All three characters run, jump and turn ghostly exactly the same way, so the choice changes the look only.
What happens when you hit a barrier in Boo Lantern Run 3D?
You lose one of your three hearts and blink for 1.2 seconds, during which nothing can hurt you again. A row of ghost gates across all three lanes counts as a single bump, not three. Losing the third heart ends the run, and so does one fall into a gap.
How long does Ghost Shift take to recharge in Boo Lantern Run 3D?
Five seconds, counted from the moment the 1.6-second ghost form ends, so one shift comes around every 6.6 seconds at most. The ring around the Ghost button drains while you are ghostly and refills during the recharge, and pressing it before it is full does nothing.
Can you jump over a ghost gate in Boo Lantern Run 3D?
No. The cyan arches are too tall for the 1.35 m jump, so the only ways past are another lane or Ghost Shift. Logs and low bars are a different story: they are low enough to jump, which saves Ghost Shift for the gates.
