Petal Plot is a block puzzle game in your browser where you drag flower pieces onto an 8×8 garden bed and clear full rows or columns to meet each level's goals. How do you play Petal Plot?
Drag one of the three pieces in the tray onto the bed, or tap a piece and then a cell. Pieces never rotate, and a new set of three arrives once all three are planted. A full row or column of 8 clears and scores 20 points per cell, with a bonus for clearing several lines at once. Each level shows its goals at the top: bloom bulbs by clearing their line, break stones with two clears, thaw frost with a clear right beside it, or grow hedges from one-colour lines. You lose when the seed packets run out or no piece fits.
Tips & strategy
- A stone needs two clears, so pick a line through it that you can refill fast, like a row with only a short gap left.
- Clear two or three lines with one piece: the bonus jumps from 160 to 480 extra points before the combo multiplies it.
- Your combo survives two placements without a clear, so plan to clear again by the third piece to climb toward x5.
- For a hedge, keep one flower colour in one line; a single flower of another colour or a stone in it spoils the hedge.
- Frost only thaws from a cleared line that touches it side by side, so build lines along the frost edge first.
- The pieces come in the same order every try, so after a loss, replay knowing which big piece arrives next.

How do bulbs bloom in Petal Plot?
Clear the row or column the bulb sits in. Bulbs ride on flower tiles already in the bed, and any full line through one makes it bloom, even a line you cleared for another goal. The bulb counter at the top drops by one for each bloom.
Why didn't my stone break in Petal Plot?
Garden stones take two clears. The first full line through a stone only cracks it, and a cracked stone still blocks its cell. A second clear through the same stone removes it and frees that cell for planting.
What counts as a hedge in Petal Plot?
A hedge is a cleared row or column where all 8 flowers share one colour and no stone sits in the line. It adds 160 points before the combo multiplier, which doubles the score of that line, and it counts toward the hedge goal in Hedge Maze levels.
How does the combo reach x5 in Petal Plot?
Each placement that clears at least one line raises the combo by one, up to x5, and multiplies the points of that clear. Two placements in a row without a clear keep the combo; the third one resets it to x1.
What does it take to earn 3 stars in a Petal Plot garden?
Meet every goal while planting no more pieces than the level's par, and without asking for a hint. Going a few pieces over par gives 2 stars, and any win gives at least 1. Using the hint caps that try at 2 stars.
Do Petal Plot pieces ever rotate to fit a gap?
No. Every piece keeps the shape shown in the tray, so an L or a long bar only fits the way it is drawn. That makes the next pieces worth watching: each level deals the same set in the same order on every try.
How does frost thaw in Petal Plot?
Clear a line that runs right beside a frosted cell, sharing an edge with it. The frost then turns into plain soil you can plant on. Diagonal neighbours do not count, and no piece can be placed over frost until it thaws.
What is Free Bloom in Petal Plot?
Free Bloom is the endless mode with no goals and no piece limit: you plant until no piece in the tray fits. Scores use the same combo and hedge rules. Until 6,000 points every new set of three holds at least one piece that fits the bed.
